La route 30 est une route de Johto. Elle relie Ville Griotte, au sud, et la route 31, au nord. C'est également la première route contenant des dresseurs que le joueur aura à traverser dans son périple. M. Pokémon habite aussi ici.

Cette route apparaît dans Pokémon Or, Argent et Cristal et Pokémon Or HeartGold et Argent SoulSilver.

Histoire

La première fois que le joueur se rend sous la route, il ne peut qu'accéder à la maison au nord (celle de M. Pokémon). En effet, le passage à l'ouest est bloqué par des dresseurs qui combattent.

Le Professeur Orme ayant demandé à Luth (ou Célesta) de se rendre chez M. Pokémon, le joueur obtient l'Œuf Mystère, qui se révélera plus tard être un œuf de Togepi. Le Professeur Chen est également présent et lui remet un Pokédex.

Anecdotes

• Le Gamin du nom de Gaspard (Farouk dans Pokémon Or HeartGold et Argent SoulSilver) est devenu très célèbre pour sa phrase au téléphone où il vante son Rattata et est devenu l'objet d'un mème très populaire dans la communauté Internet de Pokémon. Ce personnage apparaît même dans l'arc Or, Argent et Cristal de Pocket Monsters Special.
  • Étrangement, lorsqu'il est combattu plusieurs fois, au bout de plusieurs revanches son Rattata évolue en Rattatac, mais il continue d'en parler comme d'un Rattata au téléphone.
